Sam Trueman was born in 1990 in Carmarthen, Wales, U.K. and from any early age showed a natural ability for most sports.

Since returning to Wales in 2005 he has been at the forefront of Basketball in West Wales, becoming the West Wales League MVP for season 2007 / 2008 at the age of 18. In the current season he has started every game for both his local club Carmarthen and the West Wales Regional Team.

In season 2009 / 2010 it is Sam's ambition to play basketball in Australia in a bid to further develop his game.

In 1997 he became Cardigan Rugby Clubs Player of the year at under 9's, despite being only 7 years old!

In 1999 / 2000 he was Wales No.1 under 11's Long Jumper, still played Rugby and won all Athletics events in his primary school sports.

At the age of 10, Sam moved with his parents to Morocco, where he attended the American School of Tangier. Later they moved to Tunisia where Sam attended the American Cooperative School of Tunis. Whilst in the American educational system Sam discovered Basketball, which was very soon to become his primary sport.
